Getting set

 

As I get to go away on Friday, here is a good example of the kind of landscape I'll be seeing in Westmorland this weekend as explored by some local scouts.

On to lakes...

 

Because you may prefer to have you "base" well away from the tourist hot spots in and around Westmorland doesn't mean you can't access what this area has in spades, the countryside and lakes.

Coniston Water offers walks, going on boats across it and a great spot for a picnic but do help to keep the area clean and tidy!

Westmorland Hills

 Westmorland Hills.

Westmorland is an historic county of northwestern England, bounded on the north and west by Cumberland, on the southwest and southeast by Lancashire, on the east by Yorkshire, and on the northeast by Durham. 

I find those hills keep calling me back.
