The older scout

A group of older scouts in Germany looking very smart in their more traditional uniform while talking to each other with the wide brimmed bush hat which is straight out of Scouting For Boys steeped in B-P's own adventures that lead to it.

Thee sense each boy is at ease with each other is telling.

Rover Scout uniform of the past

The look of a bygone age more's the pity but the old Rover Scout uniform pre 1967 was really good for just that  - Rovering - being based in what was worn in the bush so was tried and tested rather than faddy.
