Over yonder fields

We were off exploring over by the nursery late last week, taking advantage of the improved weather coats off where I noticed the saplings planted in the channels.

l also greeted with this pleasant view across the fields with the traditional form buildings in the background and hedgerows intersecting each field fully out.

It proved to be a most enjoyable half day out.

The way things just are

Headed out although I hadn't been feeling to good so far.

What I find fascinating is just how it is a tree just throws out its branches, going out quite some way and here it forms the division of two separate rights of way either side of it that you must keep to  to avoid the areas grazed or planted.

While exploring this week I spotted these wild flowers in with some mixed vegetation towards the far end of the field, a sure sign they had been getting plenty of moisture.

There are some who'd of taken cutters to some of the grasses but I prefer to leave things in situ and anyway nature isn't highly composed in the way a gardener might set out his or her lawn.

A countryside walk

Today I went on lengthy work along a public right of way through these fields, looking at hedgerows, insect life and wild flowers such as buttercups that were growing in the glorious sunshine.

The planted crops continue to grow in this site on the edge of the village before one reaches the nearby motorway and through exploring this area more I am learning not just to identify species but appreciate what the natural world has to offer.
