The march of Ivy

It's been a pretty cold week so far with the temperature when this was typed at minus two degrees Celsius and it's expected to drop to around minus four to five today so with wind chill I've really had wrap up.

It's been said this is the coldest for at least ten years reminding me of the Winter of Nineteen Seventy-Eight/Nine.

Needless to say I have been out in it taking pictures and todays topic is Ivy for no better a reason that it's fascinated me taking over any convenient structure which in this district includes electricity poles.

It gets everywhere!

What intrigued me was the shape of the branches which were only just above ground level at their longest.

The amount of wildlife in this area is quite considerable even being in a highly developed area.
