Tug of war competitions tend to bring out an awful lot of competitiveness and boyish spirit no wonder they prove so popular on this summer day in 1967.
It's interesting to note the Cub Scout Uniform these boys are in is the one introduced just after the disbanding of Wolf Cubs within the British Scout Association with the Floret replacing the Wolf Cub badge on the cap which basically the same.
