Looking after yourself

One thing while out scouting you need to be aware of is risks from the vegetation such as insect bites of which I had a couple and also nettle stings which I did experience for the first time in decades where I accidentally caught an overgrown  one that was almost blocking the pathway leaving me with a nasty rash on my left leg just below my shorts.
I took a anti-histamine tablet for that later on and after a day it had gone.
