From one generation to another

Sometimes the interest of the young in Scouting at its different levels may lead to overlooking the role of adults within it as leaders, instructors without which much in scouting simply would not be possible because they pass on their skills and knowledge to the next generation.

The majority of roles within the organization of Scouting are entirely voluntary in nature with people putting in time outside of careers to help raise the the young and often as a part of putting back in that which was offered to them as boys in scouting.
